Armel’s development history began in Guelph over 60 years ago. Since then, Armel has developed residential land for thousands of homes throughout Guelph. With its close proximity to Toronto, Hamilton, and Waterloo/Kitchener region, Armel has built Guelph communities for people to call home.
Today, Armel owns numerous residential development sites in various stages of development in the west end of Guelph. These sites will be developed into communities with a variety of housing types.
Single-family homes in the Willow West community
Armel entered the Barrie residential market in the mid-80s by rezoning and developing what is now known as Barrie’s South End. Today Armel continues to hold and develop hundreds of acres of land in the area including the lands directly beside Barrie South GO Transit Station.

Clubhouse at Colonial Golf Club
A small town with all of the amenities and features of a big city, the community of Coloniale Estates in the Town of Beaumont has been developed by Armel and has hundreds of homes located there today. Beaumont is one of the 20 fastest growing communities in Canada. This vibrant town is less than 10 minutes from the south of Edmonton.
Coloniale Estates is a beautiful residential community comprised of quiet streets that weave around and through the 18-hole championship Coloniale Golf Course. Coloniale Park, with its newly built playground and large soccer field, is located just to the north of the entrance to the community.
Armel is currently planning the next phase of development for Coloniale Estates.
